We used to have a WP plugin that would help us maintain the site against link rot, but aren't doing the same for gdocs.

Would be fairly straightforward to write a cron job that cURL'd each of the links in posts_gdocs_links and notified us when something 404s

We could alternatively also crawl our live site and collect links and checks them. This would take actual, effective redirects into account.
