Cover Image Applied to All Songs in Library #1166
Comments
Thanks for the report. Could you describe a bit more how you have organized your library in folders? The way the cover art picking is supposed to work is this:
With these rules, I would assume that the same cover art would be used for multiple unrelated songs only in case all those songs are located in the same folder or all of the seem to belong to the same artist and album (which could be also "Unknown artist" and "Unknown album"). |
Okay, so basically you have everything in one folder and your files don't contain any metadata. In that case the Music app has no way to guess the album division and it assumes that all the songs belong to the same album, and hence, use the same cover art. What you can do, is to either add the Album metadata tag to each of your songs or then create a sub-directory for each album. |
I have encountered a problem with the Music app in Nextcloud. When viewing songs in my library, the app seems to randomly select a cover image from one of the songs and applies it to all other songs. This behavior is not desired. I would prefer that each song or album retain its own cover image. For songs that do not have a cover image, I would like a default image from the designated folder to be used instead.
