If video in the media collection will cause list loading slow

I am using the latest Website Template, after uploading a video to the media collection, everytime I opens up the media collection window it will start loading the entire video, even I didn't click on it

This one shows it is loading for a long time

Yeah, so prior to version 3.29.0, all media would download directly in the list view. This, as you've seen, is not optimal for many reasons. I addressed this issue in this PR: #11696. It was merged and released in 3.29.0!

This leads me to believe you are on a version prior to 3.29.0 - go ahead and update your Payload packages (I also encourage you to pin them in your package.json) and it should be fixed for you here. You can do a quick pnpm up [email protected] @payloadcms/*@3.29.0 to update all of them at once.

I would also highly encourage you to set either an upload.adminThumbnail in your upload-collections, or use a 40px image size in your imageSizes config to take full advantage of the optimizations introduced in the linked PR.
