Tweets are tiny. Every once and a while someone posts a URL to a tweet, and we have to open it up in a browser to see what's up. That's silly.
Here's my idea: whenever a link to a tweet is posted, have Destult grab the contents of it and dump that into the channel instead.
Perhaps I'll give this a shot myself, but I know next to nothing about Perl.
