Legenda and support for tags + icon?

Making a seperate feature request for it instead on the existing fantasic one.
To post it on project page or todo perhaps :)

Some mindspins again for feature(s):
Is it an option to add under the cable colors the option to use tags or device roles as it was previously mentioned in the Fantastic topic by PVM-NL already. But looking to extend it as in my post netbox-community/netbox#11931.

We could also provide the option to use tags as you can attach them to a port given the tag color this is then provided as color.
Same for device roles i think.

I wonder if you can then can generate like a tablelist of used colors with description behind?
LEGENDA:

• TAG1 = (RED) = INTERCONNECT
• TAG2 = (BLUE) = ACCESSPOINTS
• TAG3 = (ORANGE) = FAILOVER

Other thing i was thinking of is eventually maybe use the ICON of ethernet as visual aspect for ports only thing is you might not see if it is used or not? Rotation might be tricky and coloring.

Perhaps for the question above is the use of a border color or something and icon itself red/green for connected.
Or we adjust the icon with small square indicating the on/off
