Thank you for posting this. Based on the methodology workshop report we should consider the following items to support running sensitivities with FT-NIRS ages we will need to:
Work with those estimating ages to identify the appropriate covariates to include in the NN model. The SSC has recommended that fish length or weight should not be included.
Discuss how rounding of ages is now being handled based on discussions in the workshop.
Develop materials to share at the pre-assessment data workshop.
Meet with Derek Chamberlin to discuss how to estimate ageing error for this method.
