Hey, first thank you your work on the color scheme it is awesome.

I noticed this behavior when I was writing a commit message and enabled the spell function, this only happens with misspelled words that happen to have the red (magenta?) foreground color, either running vim inside/outside tmux with alacritty. I have not tested this in other terminal emulators.

How it looks when running inside tmux:

Even if polyglot is removed the colors remain (outside tmux):

Details:

  • vim version: 8.2
  • alacritty version: 0.7.1 (a852eb85)

My test: vim 8.2, alacritty 0.7.1 (a852eb8), Tamzen font and no issues.

Could you help try to change the font? If the cause is font, pls let me know your font using.

I tried with a couple of fonts. The first font I was using is scientifica.

Even outside tmux this still happens.
