Description of the plugin

What's the purpose of this plugin? As I understand from the code, it let's you be flexible about configuring settings from the channel settings page?

Does it support integration with other plugins?

I'm looking for a solution where it's easy for a plugin to register settings at channel level, preferably with an input field (textarea, text, number, etc.) from the channel and saved as e.g. JSON data field in the database. Some getters / services can then be used fetching the data on the integrating plugin.
