This is a tracking issue for this repo. Currently, the RTP package has the following issues with the code:

  1. Upgrade the lint: see Impr/more linters .goassets#220 Upgrade golangci-lint, more linters #289
  2. Missing test coverage in critical areas.
  3. Code needs refactor or / and missing documentation for some parts of the code or areas that are ambiguous (and need review).

I'm going to fix all the issues in separate PRs.
