The paper Liu, Dong, Yi, Tian-Ci, Xu, Yun & Zhang, Zhi-Qiang (2013), "Hotspots of new species discovery: new mite species described during 2007 to 2012" contains a misspelling of Crotonia alpina as "Crotonia alpine." The correct name, Crotonia alpina, was originally described in Colloff & Perdomo (2009).

Please update the taxonomic entry for Crotonia alpine to Crotonia alpina and ensure that Crotonia alpine is removed as a seperate entry or listed as a misspelled synonym of Crotonia alpina
