black screen after standby #1189
Comments
Having the same issue, external monitor wakes up but not the laptop one. Issue started with Epoch 3 |
actually - with the most recent updates it gave me kind of a second "ghost" screen that is not used on normal boot but comes into play after standby 😐🤣. Sooo suspend works but returns into something much lower in resolution. During my NixOS testing I saw this hint that might be related to this... |
I have 2x AMD GPUs in my system, and only a single output, connected via DisplayPort to one of them With COSMIC alpha 3 set to blank the screen after 10 minutes of inactivity, it does seem to work as expected, and if I tap some keys then it does wake up as expected But this is only with the output going into DPMS off / standby, my PC is not suspended or hibernated at all (which is probably why I can't reproduce the original report) I'll try going all the way into hibernation when I'm next able to test |
same issue. 14600kf, rtx 4060, asus tuf gaming b760m wifi ii, dell 2k monitor, raw installation from cosmic official site (alpha 3). restoration from suspense result in a black screen (no hdmi input) |
I put the PC into standby mode and now want to wake it up by pressing the power button BUT this leads to a black screen. Waking up from sleep mode should actually work without any problems, it also looks as if the system has started normally. However, the signal to the screen does not come back.
