недостаёт сущей малости - файла qcheckers.desktop, к примеру такого:
[Desktop Entry]
Categories=Game;BoardGame;
Encoding=UTF-8
Name=QCheckers
GenericName=Checkers board game
Type=Application
Exec=qcheckers
Icon=qcheckers
и иконки qcheckers.svg.
