System details:

Positron Version: 2025.01.0 build 159
Code - OSS Version: 1.95.0
Commit: bc8820b
Date: 2025-01-09T23:19:30.398Z
Electron: 32.2.1
Chromium: 128.0.6613.186
Node.js: 20.18.0
V8: 12.8.374.38-electron.0
OS: Linux x64 6.12.9-200.fc41.x86_64
GNOME Version: 47
Windowing System: Wayland
Kernel Version: Linux 6.12.9-200.fc41.x86_64
Interpreter: R 4.4.2

Describe the issue:

After opening the program, everything seems to work normally, except when I try to hover my mouse over the File menu, which freezes and closes the program.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Download the Positron-2025.01.0-159.rpm from version 2025.01.0-159
  2. Install it in terminal (install rpm -i <package-name>) and/or via Software Store (double-click)
  3. Hover the mouse (with or without a click)
  4. The app clearly freezes, and just close, without any error messages.

There never were error messages, but I checked that all processes where in fact killed.
