Upgrade SU2 adapter to the latest SU2 version #7
Comments
As far as I know version 6.0.0 is the latest one supported by this adapter. |
Thanks for your answer. Is it because of any technical requirement or is it just not being developed for 6.2.0? |
The SU2 adapter overwrites some of the main files of SU2. This means that we have to do a new adapter for every new SU2 version currently (there are long term plans to integrate the adapter within SU2). For v6.2.0, this has simply not happened yet. Also due to the fact that the main developer of the SU2 adapter, @arusch, has changed jobs and has less time for the adapter now. We would be very happy about contributions in this direction if you manage to get the v6.2.0 to work. Looking at how the previous adapters work, this step should not be too difficult. In particular, I don't expect any major technical difficulties. |
Alright, I will check the adapter for 6.0.0, I will try to make it work for 6.2.0 as well. |
The adapter now works with SU2 7.5, but we of course should still update it for SU2 8. |
I want to use preCICE with SU2-6.2.0 "Falcon". However, it fails during the installation by saying su2-adapter is not compatible with SU2-6.2.0. How can I fix this?
