While exploring creative coding tools like p5.js, I noticed that children, who are naturally curious, can greatly benefit from some form of guided creativity. However, for beginners—especially younger audiences—it's often challenging to transition from abstract ideas to concrete outputs.
Problem :
When I experimented with p5.js, I observed that many beginners, particularly children, may struggle with getting started creatively. This is often due to a lack of visual or structural guidance.
Proposed:
To address this, I suggest adding a feature to p5.js: Structural Creative Guides— interactive structural guides that users can follow to create something quickly.
These guides could be as simple as:
Prebuilt shapes or patterns that children can modify.
Step-by-step challenges where users build something incrementally.
Visual prompts appearing in the editor to nudge creative ideas.
