Game doesnt save when the battery discharges

I was playing Pokemon Fire Red, then I saved the game and when the battery died, the game didn't save.
But when i save and then I power off the console manually, it does saves.

oaf currently does not power the system off even if the battery percentage is critically low. That means the system will eventually emergency power off without a chance to write the save back to SD.

I don't know when this will be fixed but i recommend saving and powering the system off when the red LEDs blink.
