It came up in me, to stream my favorite playlist from an esp with Spotify API to another esp, because we can't have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on the same time. Unfortunately the library doesn't support an i2s connection. I did a quick search, and it seems that the audio data contains raw PCM data. It seems possible to do that if there is a i2s stream that is compatible with your library. Maybe you are interested...
