Fix sort by

The dropdown on the catalog index page doesn't seem to do anything. No matter what you change it to, it's always the same records in the same order. Also, when first visiting the catalog, the records should be ordered in reverse chronological order by defense date. They don't seem to be. The first couple of records are all old and always the same.
