After running automated tests for a second time (or third etc), sometimes it transpires that data previously published to IATI is now no longer published to IATI (or vice versa). In such cases, indicators can “drop in” or “drop out” of the manual survey (i.e. they’re no longer assessed via IATI data, so they need to be manually assessed instead. Or: they’re now assessed as IATI data, so no longer need to be assessed via manual survey).
When indicators drop in or out of the manual survey like this, it’s not terribly obvious what has happened.
In cases where an indicator drops out of the manual survey, it would be preferable to add some explanation.
In cases where an indicator drops into the manual survey, it’s potentially a bit more complicated… but at least, inserting a note explaining that the indicator was previously assessed as IATI data but isn’t any longer would be good.
