I'm sorry that it took so long. We are in uncharted territory with LLM and GenAI-based packages right now. Unfortunately, we cannot accept your package now because we don't have policies around GenAI-related software! We need to establish new or additional review steps for packages linked to GenAI to minimize the negative impact of GenAI (primarily ethical reasons, not related to your package) and maximize the positive outcomes of this technology. I'll close the presubmission right now, but I'll let you know when we establish policies around GenAI (hopefully at the beginning of 2025). |

Description
Podcastfy is an open-source Python package that transforms multi-modal content (text, images) into engaging, multi-lingual audio conversations using GenAI. Input content includes websites, PDFs, images, YouTube videos, as well as user provided topics.
Unlike closed-source UI-based tools focused primarily on research synthesis (e.g. NotebookLM), Podcastfy focuses on open source, programmatic and bespoke generation of engaging, conversational content from a multitude of multi-modal sources, enabling customization and scale.
