My startup instructions from Flatpak

I don't have time to PR etc etc right now so just wanted to document my setup steps. I've done this twice now and don't want to relearn it a third time.

I decided to install from Flatpak.

https://github.com/quexten/goldwarden/wiki/Getting-Started doesn't help for getting started because it assumes a binary distro or alias. It gives pkexec errors.

Instead I ran the UI and I think this does the same thing.

The first PIN requested is just for local Goldwarden use - nothing to do with Bitwarden's online service.

When logging in enter your Bitwarden email and your API keys as documented here: https://bitwarden.com/help/personal-api-key/ . I have never been able to use this without the API keys.

Before you click the next stage STOP! The Bitwarden password challenge takes over your entire desktop so you can't copy/paste. So copy now.

Now go to the next stage, paste your Bitwarden password and you should be able to login.
