Summary

The Robotmon service is terminated by Android Auto

Steps to Reproduce

Check the Robotmon App to make sure that the service is running. Connect the phone to Android Auto and make sure the Android Auto app launches. Disconnect the phone from Android Auto. Check the Robotmon App again and see that the service is off.

Expected Results

The Robotmon service will remain running and not get terminated.

Acutal Results

The Robotmon service is terminated and the App no longer registers that the service is on.

Notes

To restart the service I will usually have to start the service, stop the service, then start it again for the Robotmon app to show that the service is running.

Affected Versions

Android version: 8.1.0
Phone: Nexus 6P
Robotmon version: 1.8
Android Auto version: 2.8.574514-release

I'm willing to help provide debugging logs. However, I'm not quite sure how to get them from the service/app and not just from a script.

When plugging USB, it will ask whether to allow file transfers. Select "No", and try again.

So it isn't asking if I want to allow file transfers. I have explored the settings in both Android Auto and the app settings at the OS level and I'm unable to find a file transfer permission setting anywhere. I have tried disabling USB Debugging before connecting my phone but that didn't work. I still have some more Ideas to try but any suggestions would be appreciated.
