This is a question, not an issue. Thanks in advance for your great work!

I am struggling to assess the impact of using the metrics2.0 specification.

Context: I am planning to install the following stack,

  • Several collectors using metrics2.0
  • statsdaemon
  • InfluxDB
  • Grafana

Is there any advantage / disadvantage in using metrics2.0 from the beginning of the project? Will Grafana be able to digest the metrics?

@joseangeljimenez sorry for the late reply.
Grafana currently does not leverage, benefit from, or do anything special for metrics2.0
I hope that in the future it'll be able to leverage metrics2.0 similarly to graph-explorer and ideally even beyond (e.g. auto-set labels of axis, automatically do conversions, catalog metrics, etc), but for now there's no real benefit within grafana.
