The aspects of the search pane that are supposed to give us personalized choices don't provide proper persistency or cater to a user's preferences.
When previous searches get remembered as "recent searches" their continued presence there is at the whim of the OS, they get removed without expectation and it reverts to the default list of suggested applications. It would be better if they could be reliably expected to remain listed there.
The recommended "quick searches" and "top apps" on the right side are stuck the way they are, whether or not we want those specific choices. A simple and easy improvement would be the capability to permanently, or even temporarily, remove the suggested items in those two areas that we won't be making regular use of.
