A critical part of how the workflow system functions is for there to be actions on state events like:

  • state enter
  • state exit

This means that, for example, when a user moves a deliverable to the next state, it triggers an action. For the beginning, the simplest action will be to send an email to the user who is supposed to take over for that state.

The concept is for notifications to be sent which let people know that something is waiting for them to do. This is necessary since we're looking to automate things like stakeholder review and approval.

I think that this probably has a dependency on Teams being up an running first, so that I can have a WHO to send an email to.
