Disk conversion not working

Could you confirm how you made the EDSK file disks? The method using the HxC software causes the error ** Warning ** DOS is altered! - is this because there is no DOS on the disk with the program?

hi. this message is not from the conversion, but the disk you are using. If it comes from tossec, 60% 70% of tossec is broken.... :-(

Two types of discs can be formatted - a 'Master', containing the full DOS, and a 'Slave' which can only be used when the DOS is already in memory. If the DOS is missing, the error message 'WARNING DOS is altered!' is displayed, requiring the insertion of a Master disc into the system drive if the DOS in memory has been affected.

i am testing and converting disks (thats slow) testing them with a real oric with a gotek emulator. you can download images from here

Thanks for clarifying. So there is not a specific addition of DOS needed on to the disk then.
