"You have been idle!" Consistently prompts

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create Project
2. Create Task
3. Start Timer

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Begins counting up time

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?  Intel
or PPC computer?
I've tried 1.2.6 and 1.3.13 on OS X 10.7 and OS X 10.8

Please provide any additional information below.

can you provide some console logging? This is very strange. Are you using any 
keyboard / mouse redirection software such as synergy?

I am using Synergy... That would alone explain a lot. I can still send some
log data tomorrow if you still find that of value?
