In some situations it is nice to have a full repo sync and pre-download for ability to deploy in an offsite environment. Potentially you'd create a sync to a USB key for deployment in that offline environment. Also saves for re-deployment if you have a local repo to deploy from.

Future development, and low priority currently. Possible request from community.
