I'm not sure I understand the use-case. Api crate is intentionally separated from the program. |

It was an issue here - solana-developers/program-examples#326 Also this feature would make Steel projects more flexible since users will have more templates to pick from It doesn't need to be this template - https://github.com/Perelyn-sama/steel_template_without_workspace but any that's suitable for their project |

Inspiration - Boredom plus the use of workspaces in the default template made it difficult to contribute to the steel program example.
