First, thanks for the work and care you've put into this server! I am interested in substantially contributing to this project (my current hacking on my fork is around getting additional storage backends attached, currently github and later memcached) and I wonder if you'd be open to adding an open source license? I'm a big fan of the MIT license personally, which is almost ubiquitous in open source ruby projects. Let me know your thoughts! I'm happy to create a pull request if you like the idea.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm using AGPL though instead of MIT.
Regarding contributions to the project, they are generally welcome :) I don't put too much time into this at the moment, as I'm busy with remoteStorage.js and other things.
But supporting multiple storage backends would definitely be a plus, if other people want to use this server as well.
