I see not all dependencies are propery bumped. for example esip should depend on dev-erlang/fast_tls-1.0.26. And may be there are more similar problems. I didn't check everything.

Thanks for having a look. I did not check all transitive dependencies and it could also be possible that there a new dependencies for net-im/ejabberd missing. I submitted the PR as soon as this ebuild was able to provide a ejabber 18.12.1 for my test server where I run Smack's integration tests against. Feel free to improve or point out if something is missing. The dev-erlang/esip-1.0.27 should be fine now.

BTW: Does gentoo have a tool to translate rebar configurations to ebuilds, like we have with hackport for Haskell?

no idea about tool. I'm not on Gentoo for a few months already.

Please fix stun package as well (new tls) and xmpp-1.2.8.ebuild (should include ezlib dependency)
