Kenji's Thai Basil Pork

Ingredients

  • 8 garlic cloves
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • Pepper (i.e. serrano)
  • 1 shallot
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • Basil

Steps

Prep

  1. Blend or mash the garlic, pepper, and shallot together
  2. Combine sauces together

Cook

  1. Heat up pan with oil
  2. Cook the garlic/pepper/shallot mash
  3. Add ground pork and cook until pork is mostly cooked through
  4. Add sauce and mix
  5. Add Basil and stir fry

Additional Notes

  • Great with a fried egg on top
  • Serve over rice
