CocoaPods could not find compatible versions for pod "MapboxMaps"

• Dev OS: 13.12.1

Steps to reproduce

I am trying to update rnmapbox in an existing project. Before, I had v8 installed, and the update to v10 seems troublesome. What I did so far.

$ yarn remove @react-native-mapbox-gl/maps
// removed $RNMBGL.pre_install(installer) and $RNMBGL.post_install(installer) in pod file
$ pod deintegrate
$ pod install
$ yarn add rnmapbox/maps#main
// added  $RNMapboxMaps.pre_install(installer) and $RNMapboxMaps.post_install(installer) to the pod file
// added $RNMapboxMapsImpl = 'mapbox' to the pod file
$ touch ~/.netrc
$ echo "machine api.mapbox.com" > ~/.netrc
$ echo "login mapbox" >> ~/.netrc
$ echo "password <YOUR_KEY>" >> ~/.netrc
$ pod deintegrate
$ pod install

This gives me the following

[!] CocoaPods could not find compatible versions for pod "MapboxMaps":
  In Podfile:
    rnmapbox-maps (from `../node_modules/@rnmapbox/maps`) was resolved to 10.0.4-rc.2, which depends on
      MapboxMaps (~> 10.12.2)

None of your spec sources contain a spec satisfying the dependency: `MapboxMaps (~> 10.12.2)`.

You have either:
 * out-of-date source repos which you can update with `pod repo update` or with `pod install --repo-update`.
 * mistyped the name or version.
 * not added the source repo that hosts the Podspec to your Podfile.

Why is that?

As for the question pls try what the CocoPod was suggesting: pod repo update
