From 2015 to 2019 FDNY response times were up 8.6%. In the annual [NYC management report](https://www.nyc.gov/assets/operations/downloads/pdf/mmr2019/2019_mmr.pdf) | ||
the fire department attributes the slower emergency response times to increased congestion, more cars on the road. | ||

When the FDNY spokesperson was asked by Streetsblog if bike lanes contributed to increased response times they said | ||
it was all in the report, i.e. the congestion. | ||
