Port forwarding controls

Is there a way to control port forwarding options?
I'd love to write a command line utility for users to easily set port forward rules (rather than logging into the UI each time)

Update: I ended up writing a quick python + selenium program that I can run from the command line. This has made the editing of port forwarding rules easier.
