A proposed complement (Client) to our on-going/in-development Bareos backup server Rock-on (see issue #94). Intentionally independent to the server elements to also similarly serve existing BareOS installs. Facilitating a Share as the target of a backup/restore managed by an external, or Rock-on hosted, BareOS backup server.
The proposed Bareos File Rock-on in this issue would only be required if a Share was also desired as subject to a Bareos managed backup.
"Bareos backup server" #94 is proposed as providing the Director, Catalog (DB), Storage, and Director-local File service (as well as a Web-UI): providing an all-in-one rockon install for all server/storage elements to support Client Bareos instances. External client machines can then be configured against this all-in-one network backup server Rock-on.
The docker image using in our pending "Bareos backup server" #94 for its 'Director-local File service' is also compatible with stand-alone use. But has yet to be proven in this instance. The Rock-on proposed by this issue can server to develop/prove the intended stand-alone capabilities of said image.
