We currently only have a document place-holder for our Logs manager Web-UI facility (System - Logs manager):

https://rockstor.com/docs/interface/system/logs_manager.html

It is proposed that we have a fairly simple run-down on the basic use of this facility in the give doc section.

  1. via the Logs Reader (upper interface section) - tail with configurable -n parament.
  2. via the Logs Downloader (lower interface section) - zips up a configurable selection of logs.

just so it's not forgotten:

specifically for samba additional separate logs are created by client connection (I think that's the default setup, unless one mucks around with the smb.conf file) which are not visible/accessible through the WebUI.

That sounds like a feature request for the rockstor-core repo: if you fancy making an issue for that, we can remove it this issue: which pertains to a basic docs entry for our Logs Manager.
