DAOs or Decentralised Autonomous Organisations is basically an organization represented as rules encoded as a computer program that is transparent, controlled by the organization members, and not influenced by a central government. It decides which decision will be made by a decentralized organization. In non-technical terms: DAOs are an effective and safe way to work with like-minded folks around the globe.
In centralised organisations there exists an hierarchy that usually is the governing body, consisting of CXO level officers that possess majority of the decision making power and are the majority stakeholders. The need of DAOs arrises due to the disparity in decision making power between the community members and those in the governing body which makes it unfair for the common man to have is oppinions heard regardless of how valuable they might be. Contrary to this, in Decentralised Organisations every member is an equal stakeholder and has the same voting power as every other person, no vote carries more power than the other regardless of the persons financial situation.
We will be building a Decentralised Autonomous Organisation on the Celo blockchain. Here at DAppTruist there’s no CEO who can authorize spending based on their own whims and no chance of a dodgy CFO manipulating the books. Everything is out in the open and the rules around spending are baked into the DAO via its code. All the security measures have been kept in mind and we are utilising indusrty standard audited libraries and dependancies. Our sole aim is to empower the common man and make him/her/them feel like they're being heard and their opinions matter.
