Blue blinking mode #2
Comments
Does it stop supplying 5V when it blinks blue? In my previous investigation, I made this note:
If you are sure that your power supply supports other voltages, maybe this is some kind of "no load detected" warning? Do you have a fake load attached to the circuit? Maybe it's not pulling enough power to remain on. Definitely update us here if you find out more info! I would love to keep this documentation updated for future readers. |
I bought a ZY12PDN board to charge 12V lithium ion battery pack. The board is configured and is getting output of 12.20 V. Upon connecting the battery, the indicator starts blinking RED and it is not charging the battery. Any idea? |
unlikely. Based on my observations It doesn't need a load and it doesn't even check for a load. It is simply communicating with the power source and choosing the correct Voltage level
@rgeorge34 : I hope you know what you are doing – This board alone is not suitable for charging a lithium battery. You need an extra circuit to limit the current |
@TimetravelerDD The 3S battery pack is having a charge controller. Is that okay? |
I don't know this exact model, but If you have a separate charge controller it sounds alright. |
I am trying out my USB pd board and I have seen a strange mode when after delivering 5 V for a while it goes to blue blinking mode. What could it be ?
