European datacenter not working - Tuya split Europe into Western and Central #1067
Comments
Thanks for the answer, but that isn't the problem. I guess I wasn't so clear, the issue isn't on the Tuya IOT side. It's how the localTuya integration can provide a Western EU and a Central EU radio box, instead of just one "eu" radio. Thanks b |
I have the integration working with the setup above. the EU radiobox in localtuya selected and the two datacenters in iot.tuya |
Same problem than @thisisbenwoo here on a brand new installation of home assistant. I'm can't get the local tuya integration working. I tried to create a new project and using my old project, none of them are working. Let me know if you want more infos to reproduce this issue. Thanks |
Same here, offical Tuya integration works, there I can select the country, not just the datacenter. |
How is this still not fixed after all this time... makes localtuya unusable for EU users (my app region was auto-set to EU central, even though I selected a west EU country, I cannot change Tuya cloud datacenter to EU west or it won't bind to my app account) |
The problem
Steps to reproduce
Additional information
Tuya split the datacenters into Western and Central. Some Western countries (eg. Belgium, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, etc.) are now on the Central European Datacenter
See: https://github.com/tuya/tuya-home-assistant/blob/main/docs/regions_dataCenters.md
So (while I am not a developer/programmer), LocalTuya might need to allow users to define Western or Central Europe datacenter.
