Support for battery devices ?

I have 2 Tuya compatible devices :

1. infraread heater >> works great with te intergation
2. temp sensor working on 2 aaa battery's

the device name for device 2 is TH01CB3S there are more "issues" with tis device.
So i read on Redit that the ip adress for a battery device is short online is there is an update for some metric and then goes to a deep sleep.
and is also not respondig on a local ping. so every time you want to add a battery device >> no sucses.

is this true

or are there other users sucsecfully add a battery device ?
