i was just trying to create an issue on github rythmengine/rythmengine#358
and wanted to link to the corresponding documentation page.
The documentation pages may look nice and all but I think that is not as important as a good search feature and other features that would readily be available if it would simply be based on a mediawiki site. If it was such a site I could also help maintain and edit it. With the current state of affairs I would have to file an issue for every single item and I think that is not worthwhile

I am very happy to put a link on Rythm web site if you create a MediaWiki for Rythm doc. However it is still important to maintain a github version as I do want to version control the changes and it needs to be aligned with all other parts of Rythm project.
Generally speaking I want to use Github as the single point of truth. This is even more the case for my ActFramework project: the web site just load content directly from github, e.g. this page loads content from here, and I keep nothing on my server.
Is there a way for you to automatically extract the content from github into MediaWiki?
http://revelry.co/how-to-transition-from-github-wiki-to-mediawiki/
seems to show a way how to at least "translate" markdown to mediawiki. And yes - the search option is one of the aspects im am missing - but also the ability to use extensions for e.g. videos and other references.
