Talk Title: A website is a room that we are in together

Talk Description: I'm an artist and teacher who likes to make experimental websites. I made a website called Eigengrau that lets multiple connected users make music together by closing their eyes simultaneously. I'll talk for a bit about this project, and then briefly demonstrate a simple way of creating collaborative live multi-user interactions using node.js and socket.io. I'm excited to talk about this in terms of creating websites that acknowledge and embrace the simultaneous social aspects of online experience outside of the dominant framework of "social media".
