Chinatown.js Talk Submission

Talk Title: An app can be a home-cooked meal

Talk Description: The title of this talk comes from the title of this article. This talk is about the effortful joy of starting and finishing a focused side-project for which you, the developer, are the only user. Using an app I built to track the number of miles I’ve put into each pair of my running shoes as an example, I’ll demonstrate how I’ve brought my personal data closer to it’s end point of use and then activated that information into real world significance. Expanding on the ideas presented in the above linked reference, this talk will begin to touch on how one can ensure the right data (yours) reaches the right people (you) at the right time (your whim).
