Talk Description:

While much attention around Web Components is spent on directly interactive UI elements, the usefulness of Custom Elements extends to non-interactive use cases as well. In this short presentation, the speaker builds on prior work visualizing dense real-time data streams and illustrates how a simple combination of Custom Elements and Javascript event dispatching can simplify the task of visualizing thousands of messages per second.
