The July 2020 release of CAP does provide a New cds.Service Base Class. That should make it possible to implement the PostgreSQL adapter. The npm package for PostreSQL can be found here: pg.

A first version of cds-pg - PostgreSQL adapter for SAP CDS (CAP) is published. Please help to improve it and contribute.
