Problem description:
I really like putting emojis in my notes.

  • Frustration: If an emoji is directly followed by a word, the word cannot be searched unless you put a space or other thing in between, or just reverse it.
    • ❌ emoji + word : 😼kittensmile
    • ✅ emoji + " " + word : 😼 kittensmile
    • ✅ word + emoji : kittensmile😼
  • So I type a word right after an emoji

  • Then I click the "omnisearch" button, nothing appears:

  • But if i drop a space in between:

  • It can be searched now.

Your environment:

  • Omnisearch version: 1.26.1
  • Obsidian version: v1.8.7
  • Operating system: Windows 11 PRO
  • Number of indexed documents in your vault (approx.):

Things to try:

  • Does the problem occur when Omnisearch is the only active community plugin: Yes
  • Does the problem occur when you don't index PDFs, images, or other non-notes files: Yes
  • Does the problem occur after a cache reset: Yes
