This issue is a follow up issue on #227 to take a look at if we can enable features in the policy engine that depend on reqwest.
Some background information can be found here.
One motivation for this could be that if this is possible, it would perhaps be possible to update the policy engine frontend to use the component model module instead of making http requests to a backend server. Instead the policy engine would be run by wasmtime (or any other wasm runtime that supports the webassembly component model).
