@Step does not printing any log in console

I am creating new serenity bdd screenplay framework, and I have slf4j-simple dependency in my pom with 1.7.36.
My serenity version is 2.4.51.
so when I am using @step imported from "net.thucydides.core.annotations.Step", None of the messages I passed there are printing in the console, did I miss anything to get the log messages?
Could you please take a moment to help me out?
