Running on OSX, I have the daemon running just fine and it is working just like it should, so I thank you for that. But I noticed, the PID file is getting generated, but the process id is not being written into that file. The file is empty. Should the process ID be in there? It is actually creating the file itself so I know there is no issues with permissions. Thoughts?

Disregard. I had put it inside of a separate function and it didnt like that. When I put it all back into the main function, I started seeing the pid in the file.
